Allison McDaniel graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Broadcast Electronic Communication Arts. She went on to achieve a Certificate in Publishing and Editing from UCLA. She briefly lived in South Korea while attending SFSU.

Outside of traditional education, Allison has been inundated with technology since childhood. She is self-taught in several areas including web design, coding, and information technology systems.

Her hobbies outside of her professional work include reading manga, collecting K-pop albums, playing Zelda, and studying Korean.
